This Privacy Policy describes how iHelpers ("we", "us") handles information in connection with the Temp Viewer Mac application (the "App").
Summary
Temp Viewer is a local menu bar utility. It does not collect personal data for advertising, analytics, or profiles. Core features run on your Mac and do not send temperature status or preferences to iHelpers servers. The App does not require an account or the internet to work.
Information we collect
For its normal features, the App does not collect, sell, or share personal information. We do not operate advertising or analytics trackers in the App.
If you contact us by email (for example at support@ihelpers.net), we will receive the email address and message content you send so we can respond. That is separate from the App’s on-device features.
What stays on your Mac
The App may store simple preferences on your Mac using standard system storage (for example, whether temperature-change notifications are turned on). Those preferences stay on your device.
If you turn on Start at Login, macOS manages that setting through Login Items. We do not receive a copy of that choice on our servers.
What the App reads on your device
Temp Viewer reads your Mac’s thermal (heat) status from the operating system so it can show a menu bar indicator and, if you allow it, optional status banners. That information is used only on your Mac to run the feature. It is not uploaded to iHelpers.
Notifications
If you enable notifications and grant permission in System Settings, the App may show local banners when thermal status changes. These are system notifications on your Mac. They are not marketing messages and are not sent through our servers.
Network use
The App does not need the internet for temperature monitoring. If you choose menu items such as Privacy Policy… or Support…, macOS opens our fixed HTTPS pages in your default browser. You control that action.
How we use information
- To run Temp Viewer’s features on your Mac (local preferences and thermal display)
- To respond when you email us for support
- To comply with legal obligations when required
App Store privacy labels
When Temp Viewer is listed on the Mac App Store, the App Privacy nutrition labels are intended to match this policy. For the current product behavior described here, that means we do not collect data from the App for our own use (contact us only if you write by email).
Third parties
The App does not integrate third-party analytics, advertising, or cloud account services today. If that changes, we will update this policy and name those providers.
Children
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
